Privacy

This site is operated by Keith Shepherd, based in Randers, Denmark. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what your rights are. Visitors in the European Economic Area are covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
Keith Shepherd is the sole data controller for this site. For any question relating to personal data, use the contact form.
What is collected
Two forms on this site collect personal data:
- Newsletter. Your email address only. Used exclusively to notify you when a new book in the series is published. One message per release at most.
- Contact form. Your name, email address, the category you select (general, media, academic, collaboration), and the message you write. Used to reply to your enquiry.
Nothing else is logged. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, and does not profile visitors. Your web server access log entries (IP address, request time) may be retained by the hosting provider for normal security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Legal basis
- Newsletter: your explicit consent, given when you submit the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Contact: the legitimate interest you and the site share in exchanging correspondence after you initiate it (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Retention
- Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe, at which point they are deleted.
- Contact messages are kept for up to two years after the last exchange, then deleted.
Recipients
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. Form submissions may pass through a form-handling service (for example Formspree) purely to deliver the message to the inbox; any such service acts as a data processor under written agreement and does not use your data for any other purpose.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you;
- ask for correction of inaccurate data;
- ask for deletion (erasure);
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (for the newsletter);
- complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text replaces this page and the “Last updated” date above is revised. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will also be announced in the next newsletter email.
